To say that Kanye West's influence on the sneaker game is unmatched would be an understatement. As Kanye West and adidas gear up for the official release of the adidas Yeezy 750 Boost, which will launch first in NYC on February 14th at a select number of stores, let us walk back through time when Kanye's sneaker releases made some noise. Kazuki Kuarishi wasn't billed as the creative mind behind 2009's adidas Originals Plant Pack but it did earn him an ObyO capsule and with this latest release, credit is given where it's due. The Kazuki x adidas Originals Plant is a simple lowtop silhouette that vaguely resembles the Converse Chuck Taylor with its rubber-capped toe, but the rosey Trefoil on its heels is distinctly Three Stripes. This pair flips the script on the just released black edition's colorway, opting for all white with a red foxing band plus KZK's signature striped strap on the heel. To its right in white and green is the Gipfel Leather, which is somewhere between a runner and a basketball sneaker, plus the metallic hooks you might expect to find on a hiking boot. And I think those are pretty much the only two football players that had their own signature line. Obviously you had basketball players with a signature line. Larry Bird, Magic Johnson, Michael Jordan, Dr. J  those guys had their own shoe. In tennis, Agassi and some other guys had their own signature shoe.
